September 2007 Super Spectacular!

* Download September 2007 Show (78 MB)

Krambox Radio emerges briefly from hibernation to tell you a little ditty about Jack and Diane. Despite losing our FCC license once again, the song requests keep pouring in, in addition to the record labels wanting Krambox Radio to showcase their artists. Advice to marketing reps at labels: My show gets less listeners per month than kids in my high school class. Granted, Krambox listeners are the most influential listeners in the world (Kanye West asks our resident listeners what's going to be hip), so maybe it's a wash.

Additionally, the DJs of Krambox Radio bring you a Krambox first: Remixing a song and putting it out there. Not saying it's any good, but it's fun to try and pretend to be musically talented. Hear for yourself!

Also, mad props to the Facebook world for making Krambox Radio an application for you to add and share via Facebook. Add it to your Facebook today!

  • Download June Show (65MB: 68 minutes)

What better way to celebrate the first anniversary of Krambox Radio by failing to do an April and May show? Well, our license was temporarily revoked, so we apologize for the delay. It was certainly better than uploading a big file that said, "Technical Difficulties: Please Stand By."

March Madness: Can we possibly mix it up any more?

  • Download March Show (69MB: 71 minutes)

It's March Madness time, and I hope your brackets have yet to break. I have no idea what's happening in this year's hoops tournament. I've been too busy coming up with an eclectic mix to satisfy your smorgasbord craving.

Btw, mad props to "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" which won an Oscar for best film song this year. As you may recall, you heard that song featured here first last year. Just further proof that not only is Krambox Radio your best destination for music - it's also the smartest. Well, at least the most prescient.

Unclear if any of this month's artists will be up for Oscars next year, but they win my award for good times. Man On the Scene: Superthorn recommends some Ukranian tunes -- stay tuned to the next edition of Krambox where we'll get the download on the Gogol Bordello show. Props to Lindsay for the Cat Power request. Also, we repay CBT Dunn for his overlooked Underworld request this month. Thanks to all the musicians who are sending in their cuts for airplay. Keep sending in your requests and tunes. The World of Krambox awaits you.

    Gimme a beat!

    1. Garbage: Androgyny
    2. Blur: Girls and Boys
    3. The Killers: Somebody Told Me
    4. Gogol Bordello: Madagascar

    6. Cafe Tacuba: Chilanga Banda
    7. Beatallica: I Want to Choke Your Band
    8. Richard Cheese: Creep
    9. The 303s: Beyond the Lines

February Krambox: If it don't got curry, I ain't gonna worry

  • Download February Show (69MB: 66 minutes)

(if you downloaded the file before Feb 4 at 4pm Pacific, redownload. I had set the quality setting too low, and it sucked. I've re-encoded it, and the quality is much better now. 10MB bigger, but it's worth it. It's why you bought the 30GB iPod anyway)

Happy new year, both Western and Chinese!

Back from India with a whole bucketful of groovy tunes. So many on the playlist in fact, that we had to cut the show short at 66 minutes, with artists clamoring for more airplay on Krambox Radio. It's because the artists respect you, the listener of Krambox Radio. They make music solely for you. Well, that and fame, fortune, tireless amounts of alcohol, drugs and groupies, too. But mainly for you.

The latest edition of Krambox Radio has more of a mix than you'll typically find in tikka chicken masala. Of course, my show won't leave the western gringos scrambling for antacids. Usually. Thanks to my local boys for the inspiration for this week's show: Flegel, Songerw, Dhir, The Suresh, JP, and Buck.

Btw, thanks to all of you for clicking on the Krambox Radio ads to make a donation to Heifer.org. Thanks to you, we generated more than $36 simply by listening to the show and clicking the ads. Those dollars are going to help out folks in need in developing countries. And thanks to those of you who made straight donations of nearly $500. That's awesome.

Jimmy, what's on the dial this month?

    1. Ladytron: Destroy Everything That You Touch
    2. Marilyn Manson: Dope Show
    3. The Jesus and Mary Chain: Far Gone and Out

December - January Show! Pass the Yule Log!

  • Download December-January Show (58MB: 72 minutes)

Don't ask me about November. I don't know where the show went. I'm not talking about it. It wasn't my fault. Really. It was that person over there. (S)he did it.

But let's move on, shall we? This show is nicely pickled with oodles of surprises and delightfully delicious songs for us to share. Oh goody! Yes, Phil Collins is right. There's something in the air tonight. A-whoa-ah. A-whoa.

December and January are jam-packed with a nice selections of songs, hand-crafted in Bavaria. Thanks to my buddy TK who picked up a few listeners on his Harley-Davidson tours. Mad props to Christian for the links. And thanks to KYOU Radio, which is playing my Show #1 over and over and over. Dudes, the show sucked. Pick up my feed and check out the latest shows. OK, they kinda suck too, but at least the microphone is better positioned.

BTW, the site I mention at the end of the site is Heifer.org. Definitely a nice alternative to material gifts this holiday season!

ANOTHER BTW UPDATE: I added advertisements to my blog to put my money where my mouth is. For the next 30 days, any profits I make off of my ads will be donated to Heifer. Additionally, I'll donate the same dollar amount to Heifer even if I lose money (although my losses are capped per day, so help me out on the positive side. :) ). This is part of my experiment with ads, and also a way for you to help out a worthy cause with just a simple click.

    On with the tunes:
